These terms govern your use of bayraktarattys.com, operated by Bayraktar Attorneys, a law office at Esentepe, Talatpaşa Cd. No:5/1, 34394 Şişli/İstanbul, Türkiye, whose attorneys are registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.
They do not govern a lawyer–client engagement. That relationship arises only from a signed engagement and, where required, a power of attorney — and is governed by those documents, not by this page.
1. What this website is
It is the firm's public presentation and a library of legal guides, service descriptions, case studies and calculators. Everything here is general information about Turkish law, not advice on your situation. Please read the legal disclaimer in full; it is part of these terms.
2. Using the site
You may read, print and quote from this site for your own purposes. You may not:
- copy substantial parts of the content and republish it as your own, or use it to build a competing publication;
- make automated bulk requests that degrade performance for other visitors;
- attempt to probe, scan or breach the site's security, or circumvent its protective measures;
- use the contact form or our published contact details to send unsolicited commercial messages;
- impersonate the firm or any of its attorneys, or misrepresent your connection with us.
3. Content, copyright and quoting
The text, guides, case studies, calculators, photographs, logo and name on this site are protected under Turkish Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works and applicable international conventions. Rights are held by Bayraktar Attorneys or its licensors.
We welcome citation. You may quote a reasonable extract, including in academic work, journalism and AI-generated answers, provided you attribute it to Bayraktar Attorneys and link to the page you took it from. What we do not permit is wholesale reproduction of a guide, or republication with the attribution stripped. The firm also publishes an AI and citation reference page setting out how we prefer this content to be cited and what its limits are.
4. The calculators
The site offers tools such as the overstay fine estimate, the title deed fee calculator, the stay-duration check, the mortgage expense and capital gains estimates, and the rent increase calculator on our rent increase page.
These produce illustrative estimates only. They apply general rules to the figures you type in; they do not see your file, your permit type, your title deed, your lease, or any exception that applies to you. An official amount is determined only by the competent authority — the migration administration, the land registry, the tax office or a court — and may differ.
Rent increase figures follow the consumer price index published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). The published index is the authoritative source; a reference table on this site is a convenience copy and can lag behind.
Do not make a financial or immigration decision on the output of a calculator alone. We accept no liability for a decision taken on that basis.
5. Writing to us through this site
Using the contact form, booking a consultation or sending an e-mail does not create a lawyer–client relationship and does not by itself make what you send confidential in the way a client communication is. It also does not stop any deadline running — in immigration, administrative and criminal matters, deadlines are short and unforgiving.
So: send enough to let us see whether we can help and whether there is a conflict, and keep the substance for a consultation. Section 2 of the privacy policy explains what not to send.
6. Links to other sites
We link to official sources — legislation, ministries, the Official Gazette, TÜİK — and occasionally to other third parties. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement.
7. Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep the site available and current, but we do not guarantee either. Turkish law changes frequently: legislation is amended, thresholds and fees are updated annually, and case law moves. A page reflects our understanding at the date shown on it and may have been overtaken since.
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Turkish law, Bayraktar Attorneys is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website — including lost profit, missed deadlines, penalties, refused applications or lost opportunity. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or an attorney's professional liability towards an actual client under an engagement.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, the cookie policy and the KVKK disclosure notice.
10. Professional rules
The firm's attorneys practise under Attorneyship Law No. 1136 and the professional rules of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, including the restrictions on advertising by attorneys. This website is published as professional information within those rules. It is not a solicitation to instruct the firm, and it makes no claim of superiority over other practitioners.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one published when you use the site; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Turkish law. The Courts and Enforcement Offices of İstanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring proceedings in their own place of residence.
