We file the application with the required documents. If any procedural issue is found, there is generally a two-month window to correct it, which we handle for you.
TURKPATENT examines the application. It can be refused on absolute grounds under Article 5 of the law, for example if the mark is not distinctive or is already taken. We advise on these risks before filing and respond to any objection.
If the application passes examination, the mark is published in the Bulletin for a two-month opposition period, during which third parties can object. We monitor this stage and defend your application against any opposition.
If no opposition succeeds and the registration certificate fee is paid, the trademark is registered. The certificate is generally issued within one month after payment.
