Bayraktar Attorneys helps foreign investors and their families obtain a second citizenship in Grenada, known as the Spice Island. We advise on the investment routes, prepare your file through an authorized agent, and manage the application from the first consultation to your passport, all in English.
Grenada stands out among Caribbean programs for two reasons: a treaty that opens the door to the US E-2 investor visa, and visa-free travel to China. You keep your current citizenship, and the process is handled remotely. Amounts and rules are set by the government and can change; we confirm the current requirements in your consultation.
Talk to an English-speaking lawyer about the program today. The first consultation is free and there is no obligation.
Grenada applications cannot be filed by an individual directly; they go through an authorized agent, with documents prepared to a strict standard. We manage the whole process and, where the US is your goal, help you plan the citizenship and E-2 steps together.
Our support includes:
Grenada holds a Trade and Navigation treaty with the United States. Once you are a Grenadian citizen, you may become eligible to apply for the US E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, which lets you set up or buy a business in the United States and live, work and study there with your family.
Many nationalities, including citizens of China, India and several Middle Eastern countries, cannot access the E-2 route directly because their countries have no such treaty. Grenada is one of the few citizenship by investment programs that offers this bridge. The E-2 is a separate US application with its own conditions, and we help you plan both stages.
Grenada offers two main routes. These amounts and rules are set by the government and can change; we confirm current figures in your consultation.
A non-refundable contribution to a state fund that supports infrastructure, tourism, agriculture and alternative energy. It is the most direct route with the least bureaucracy, currently from around USD 200,000, with the amount depending on family size.
Investment in a government-approved development, such as a 5-star hotel, resort or villa project, currently from around USD 220,000 for a shared investment up to around USD 350,000. The property is held for about 5 years, after which you can sell it and recover your capital while keeping your citizenship.
Beyond the E-2 route, Grenada offers strong travel, family and tax benefits. The main advantages are:
The program is open to applicants with a clean criminal record, a legal, provable source of funds, good health and honest disclosure. You will need passports, certificates, bank references and source-of-wealth documents, translated and apostilled, plus the investment and the government and due diligence fees.
After filing, the government runs due diligence through independent bodies and issues a preliminary approval; you then invest and receive your passport. The process is usually completed within 4 to 6 months. Grenada allows full dual citizenship, and the status passes to future generations. If you are comparing options, we also advise on Saint Kitts and Nevis citizenship and Dominica citizenship.
We review your criminal record, family and budget, confirm eligibility, and decide whether the fund or real estate route suits you, and whether the E-2 is part of your plan.
We collect birth and marriage certificates, bank references, health reports and source-of-wealth documents, then translate and apostille them.
Through an authorized agent, we submit your file to the Citizenship Unit, and independent bodies carry out background checks.
On success, the government issues a preliminary approval, and you transfer the contribution or real estate investment.
After proof of investment, we collect your citizenship certificate and passport and deliver them through secure channels.
We work with international clients daily, entirely in English, and explain each step clearly.
Where the United States is your goal, we help you plan the Grenada citizenship and E-2 stages together.
We manage the whole process without you needing to visit Grenada.
We advise across Caribbean and other citizenship and residency options so you can compare.
